Facilities Specialist

Location: West Columbia, SC | Contract to Hire | 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

Overview

Perform repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on building and facility equipment, fixtures, and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and perform in-house repairs throughout the facility.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment, systems, and fixtures.
• Install office fixtures and perform maintenance across multiple trades, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
• Move furniture, materials, and equipment as part of routine assignments.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and perform equipment cleaning and breakdowns.
• Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment per specifications.
• Utilize computer systems to copy programs, modify, or store schematics.
• Oversee emergency system backups.
• Ensure plumbing, sewer, water, electrical, and mechanical systems remain functional and compliant.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, fixtures, and facility systems.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and general repairs.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to respond to service calls and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
• Ability to safely move furniture, materials, and equipment as needed.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and maintaining facility systems in proper working condition.

Pay

$19/hr
