Facilities Services Person

About the role

Under general supervision, performs a variety of housekeeping duties in order to maintain building and facilities at the Home Office complex. This position is for 2nd shift, 3:00pm-11:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of housekeeping duties, including sweeping, cleaning, disinfecting, washing, scrubbing and polishing.
• Uses a floor buffer to maintain hard floors and carpeting and uses a carpet extraction machine to perform water extraction of carpet.
• Performs manual lifting as required and moving, and rearrangement of furniture for class room setups and for after hours functions that take place.
• Assists in ordering supplies online and maintaining inventory of materials and supplies related to assigned work.
• Cleans windows, sweeps pavements, hoses sidewalks or performs additional duties as directed.
• Performs limited preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment as necessary.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.

Qualifications

Minimum Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Additional Experience: Prior experience cleaning Commercial office space preferred. This position requires the incumbent to work holidays as needed. Position requires incumbent to climb ladders and work at a height of 12 feet on occasion.

Physical Requirements: Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for this role. Ability to move over 50 lbs using lifting aide equipment; Occasional (Climbing/accessing heights; Rarely Driving; Occasional (Lifting/Moving 0-20 lbs; Often (20-50%) Lifting/Moving 20-50 lbs; Occasional (Manual Keying/Data Entry/inputting information/computer use; Occasional (Pushing/Pulling/moving objects, equipment with wheels; Often (20-50%)
