Facilities - Senior Project/Construction Manager
About the role
Cordoba is seeking two experienced Senior Project/Construction Managers with at least 15 years of project management experience in K-14, Commercial, or Higher-Education projects, particularly those involving California community colleges.
Responsibilities
- Manages, oversees, and coordinates all aspects of pre-construction, bid and award, construction, and close-out phases of assigned projects in a Public Works environment.
- Reviews pre-construction documents and submits comments to designers as necessary.
- Communicates with stakeholders to maintain approvals and updates project status.
- Plans, organizes, and prepares reports for upper management regarding project status and progress.
- Coordinates with public agencies during pre-construction and construction phases to ensure compliance with off-site work and project requirements.
- Manages project budgets and schedules to meet district standards; monitors budget changes and ensures accuracy.
- Coordinates with contractors to review and approve construction schedules, submittals, and change orders.
- Monitors payments to contractors, architects, engineers, and other relevant parties.
- Administers provisions of professional service agreements and coordinates with architects for fixture, furniture, and equipment deliveries.
- Maintains project close-out processes with DSA certification and financial closure.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 15 years of full-time professional experience in construction or a combination of project and construction management, with 5 years of this experience involving complex projects valued over $20M in a DSA (or equivalent) public works environment.
- Experience with DSA jurisdiction and OSHA certification.
- Experience with multiple delivery methods such as Design/Build, Design-Bid-Build, Lease-Leaseback, and others.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
- A bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management from a recognized college or university.
- Additional 4 years of relevant experience or a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential.
Salary Range
$165k to $180k annually
