Facilities Mechanical Engineer ( HVAC, mechanical piping, plumbing systems )

About the role

This Mechanical Engineer role includes HVAC design and commissioning. You will deliver comprehensive engineering packages from calculating initial cooling/heating loads to programming sequences of operation and validating final system performance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities
• Gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility
• Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings
• Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition
• Review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs
• Inspect or direct the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical piping, plumbing systems and equipment design
• Experience delivering comprehensive engineering packages from calculating initial cooling/heating loads to programming sequences of operation and validating final system performance

Pay

$68.51 per hour on W2

Schedule

4/10A-1st Shift, 04 months contract with potential extension
