About the role
Currently there is one part-time vacancy in the Recreation and Senior Services (RSS) Department at the Marina Park Community and Sailing Center. The RSS Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of 11 facilities, 34 playgrounds, Sailing Center, 58 outdoor sports courts and sports field amenities throughout the Newport Beach park system. This position actively engages in the RSS maintenance program to ensure safe and well-maintained boats and paddle equipment for the use of the public. This position also provides support to the RSS Department’s mission in offering quality recreational programs, events and services for people of all ages.

Qualifications
- Experience: Six months of custodial experience is required.
- Education: Completion of formal or informal education at a level that provides the ability to read and write at a level required by the job.
- Licenses/Certificates: Due to the performance of some field duties, which require the operation of a personal or City vehicle, a valid and appropriate California driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required.

Schedule
This position may work up to 20 hours or more per week Monday through Friday.

Disaster Service Worker
