Job Responsibilities
- Read SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and excerpts from technical documentation
- Ensure proper documentation practices during maintenance processes
- Perform preventative (scheduled) and corrective/emergency (unscheduled) maintenance of equipment, systems, and/or facilities without supervision
- Conduct troubleshooting activities
- Gather, organize, and communicate operational information to others
- Participate in spill control, handling of hazardous materials, and first aid
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document all maintenance activities
- Identify temporary and permanent fixes to address issues
- Monitor equipment and/or systems for performance and problem indicators
- Read, understand, and comply with cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), including general safety, and lock out tag out
- Report process deviations when they occur
- Wear gowning, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required by specific activities including; fall protection harness, safely googles, chemical resistant coverall, and chemical resistant gloves as needed
- Monitor and analyze Facilities equipment performance
- Perform, in order of priority, work required in response to process equipment requests received through the Work Request System
- Read and interpret diagrams, drawings, and other schematics
- Recommend and initiate activities to ensure area and equipment is maintained in a state of compliance
- Perform infrared, vibration, pressure, superheat, and subcooling readings
- Perform daily Facility equipment checks
- Monitor building management alarm system and respond appropriately
- Pull necessary parts to complete a work order or ticket
- Provide input on the engineering of replacement parts
Requirements
- Experience maintaining Facilities systems including building fire systems, plumbing, lighting, HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, air handlers, humidifiers and air dryers.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Water Purification
- Industrial Maintenance Certification
- Universal Section 608 HVAC License
- Electrical/Electronics Certification
- Infrared, Vibration, Ultrasound Certification
- Electrical, HVAC/Refrigeration, Pipe Fitting, or Fire Alarm Journeyman License
- Automated Material Handling
Preferred Background
- High school diploma or equivalent and certification in a skilled trade (electrical, boiler operations, etc.)
- Associate’s degree in a technical discipline desirable
- 2 Years experience with building fire systems, plumbing, lighting, HVAC equipment (boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, humidifiers, and air dryers), low voltage electrical systems, emergency diesel generators.
- Relevant skilled trades training or certificates
- Prior experience with CMMS
