Facilities Maintenance Technician I/II

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document corrective and preventative maintenance of architectural systems, structural/civil systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, process equipment and utility equipment utilizing the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Train on and follow applicable standard operating procedures and work plans.
  • Troubleshoot and repair facilities, equipment, and systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic circuits (motors, pumps, compressors, boilers, chillers, and purified and domestic water systems) using SOPs, Original Manufacturer Manuals/specifications, and other workplace aids.
  • Provide recommendations to the Facility Manager or Laboratory Managers as necessary and assist with implementation of methods, procedures, and techniques for improving maintenance of existing/new systems as well as assisting with system failure root cause investigations.
  • Prepare documents to include maintenance, quality, and other documents/reports as deemed appropriate following good documentation practices.
  • Provide on-call, off-hours support as needed.

Requirements

  • Facilities Maintenance Technician I: High School diploma or equivalent. Prefer to see experience as a general maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment. A.S./A.A. Degree in Mechanical/Utilities Technology and/or hands-on vocational school training. Prior experience with general utility systems, boilers, electrical, HVAC and refrigeration systems. Universal CFC Refrigerant License preferred. Prior experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to walk up steps, climb ladders, lift small equipment and tools. Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 lbs. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CMMS experience (Blue Mountain ideal). Ability to use shop equipment, mechanical tools, handheld meters, alignment tools, predictive maintenance tools, computers, diagnostic tools.
  • Facilities Maintenance Technician II: High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a general maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment. A.S./A.A. Degree in Mechanical/Utilities Technology and/or hands-on vocational school training preferred. Prior experience with general utility systems, boilers, electrical, HVAC and refrigeration systems. Universal CFC Refrigerant License preferred. Prior experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to walk up steps, climb ladders, lift small equipment and tools. Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 lbs. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CMMS experience (Blue Mountain ideal).
