Facilities Maintenance Person
About the Role
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Person (Full-time) to join our team at Carey Harrisdale. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, proactive person to support the efficient and effective maintenance and presentation of our campus buildings, grounds, and other onsite businesses.
Responsibilities
- General buildings maintenance and repairs, and grounds maintenance upkeep assistance.
- Ticket (work request) management and fulfilling requests in a timely fashion.
- Engage with contractors on site and monitor works to ensure jobs are completed to a satisfactory standard.
- Communicate closely with the Facilities Manager and/or line supervisor on tasks, planning, logistics, and safety issues/hazards.
- Ensure Carey buses, vehicles, mobile utility units, tools, and machinery are operational, safe, and well maintained.
- Assist with fertigation/reticulation systems, event setups, school assemblies, and sports carnivals.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in property/facility maintenance.
- Experience in grounds care and bore reticulation systems (desirable).
- High attention to detail and organization skills.
- Works with a thorough level of self-agency towards this role’s tasks, outcomes, and expectations.
- WHS white card.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Driver’s licence.
- Current National Police Clearance Certificate.
- Full working rights within Australia.
Qualifications
- Chemical Application knowledge and certification (desirable).
- Preference if candidate holds a ‘Working at Heights’ ticket or is willing to obtain.
- Paving/pavement maintenance (desirable).
