Facilities Equipment Technician

About the role

We're seeking dependable Technicians to join our award-winning facilities team. You'll support the equipment that keeps our campus running every day including kitchen appliances, ventilation systems, and other mechanical equipment across our 9-million-square-foot, state-of-the-art campus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, install, maintain and repair commercial kitchen appliances, ventilation systems, and related equipment
  • Respond to service calls, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues and restore equipment to working order
  • Follow safety procedures related to electrical, gas, and workplace standards

Requirements

We welcome candidates with a strong desire to learn, grow, and build technical skills over time. No specific educational background is required, but experience in a similar field is preferred.

Qualifications

Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Skills

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Basic knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, appliance repair, and basic electrical systems is helpful.

Location

The position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.
