Facilities Engineer - PLC/Controls
Position Summary
The Facilities Engineer – PLC / Controls Focus is responsible for the reliability, performance, and support of PLC-controlled, electrically driven, and automated facility and production systems. This role serves as the technical lead for industrial controls, automation initiatives, and electrically controlled infrastructure, ensuring safe and reliable operations while supporting future automation and digital manufacturing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of PLC-controlled systems
- Support automation initiatives and electrically controlled infrastructure
- Ensure safe and reliable operations of facility and production systems
- Collaborate on future automation and digital manufacturing strategies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or related field
- Experience with PLC programming and control systems
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with advanced automation technologies
- Experience with robotics and/or machine learning
- Experience with energy management systems
