Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
- Assist with implementation of occupancy-based controls, lighting automation, scheduling, and demand management programs.
- Respond to building service calls and emergency situations involving electrical or control systems.
- Maintain, install, and repair power and lighting equipment.
- Implement and support a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.
- Participate in after-hours and on-call coverage as required.
- Functions as a team leader, either directly or through leadership, including but not limited to:
- Recommends and communicates goals.
- Directs operations to ensure the achievement of required results.
- Develops, recommends and implements operational plans and procedures.
- Trains, coaches and leads staff.
- May serve as a contributing member of project team(s), or leader of project team(s), coordinating resources to ensure achievement of project activities.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent electrical certification preferred.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), Direct Digital Controls (DDC), or Energy Management Systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, motors, control circuits, and HVAC controls.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and control drawings.
- Proficiency using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, or Trane Tracer systems.
A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
