About the role

Syner-G is seeking a Facilities Engineer with 2–6 years of experience supporting building and plant operations within laboratory, manufacturing, and utility environments. This role is responsible for day-to-day oversight, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility systems and equipment, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee external service providers performing Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities under facility, system, or equipment contracts.
  • Ensure all CM and PM tasks are completed, documented, and compliant with internal policies, procedures, and GMP requirements.
  • Perform routine inspections of facility utilities, equipment, and systems to identify early signs of wear, leaks, or abnormalities.
  • Support verification, updates, and maintenance of P&IDs, HVAC documentation, electrical one-lines, and process flow diagrams.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, PM activities, repairs, and system performance in accordance with SOPs and Work Instructions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and other departments to address facility needs and support operational continuity.
  • Provide detailed shift turnover reports to ensure seamless communication between teams.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and operate with minimal oversight.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 2–6 years of Facilities Engineering experience, or experience as a General Contractor, Construction Manager, or Subcontractor.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of safety protocols, PPE requirements, and emergency response procedures; familiarity with regulatory requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs); excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment; strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
