Facilities Electrician

Basic Qualifications

• Candidate must obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
• Candidate must have at least 10 years of documented industrial electrical experience (non precedent setting) and/or Journeyman status within the electrical trade
• Candidate must have electrical experience working in an industrial / commercial environment
• Candidate must have and maintain a valid driver license
• Candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Candidate must be able to operate variety of hand tools and power tools
• Candidate must be able to operate single person/scissors lift
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain any required certification

Job Description

• Perform all facility maintenance and facility support functions including electrical maintenance and installation
• Work as a member of a high performance, customer- oriented, proactive team
• Maintain accurate records
• Install, test, and maintain heavy duty and high power electrical system including distribution and substation equipment
• Maintain and troubleshoot large capacity building HVAC system and electrical system, etc.
• Repair construct, install, troubleshoot and maintain routine electrical system and equipment
• Cut, threads , bends couples, and strap conduit
• Cuts wire and conduit to length
• install, repair and or replaces boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses and extension cords
• Disassembles motors, generators and other equipment in preparation for repair
• Troubleshoot for safety and efficiency
• Uses blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage -or-amperage measuring recording devices

Desired Skills

• High School degree or equivalency
• Electronics/Electricians background desired
• Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting and installations
• Strong communications skills
• Must possess basic computer skills
• Must read electrical and mechanical blueprints
• Must work well with others, as well as by yourself
