Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison for assigned City facilities, coordinating all facility-related maintenance, repair, renovation, and operational activities.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with City departments, contractors, vendors, and facility occupants to ensure exceptional customer service and timely resolution of facility-related concerns.
  • Support the Facilities Management Office with project planning, cost estimating, project management, and client communications related to facility maintenance and long-range capital improvement programs.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate City and contractual resources to deliver maintenance, repair, renovation, and capital improvement projects.
  • Communicate project status, schedules, and expectations with stakeholders while proactively addressing questions, concerns, and service requests.
  • Utilize knowledge of commercial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, security, and other facility systems, to evaluate maintenance needs and recommend technical solutions.
  • Assist in determining project feasibility, developing scopes of work, establishing priorities, and coordinating resources for maintenance and construction-related projects.
  • Utilize AssetWorks (CMMS) to manage work orders, monitor service requests, track project progress, and maintain accurate facility records.
  • Support long-range facility planning, asset management initiatives, and continuous process improvements that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Public Works or Facilities Management field. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Construction Management, Facility Management, or Engineering is preferred but not required. Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AssetWorks (CMMS) is required. Experience with commercial building systems is beneficial.
