Facilities Cleaning Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Environmental Cleaning Specialist to join our Compactor/Chute Cleaning Team. This role is crucial in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in buildings.

Responsibilities

• Clean trash chutes, chute doors, and compactors.
• Absorb and unload delivery trucks and stage chute pieces.
• Carry out deep cleaning and special maintenance projects.
• Notify supervisor of any issues, deficiencies, or repairs needed.
• Maintain and stock cleaning supplies.
• Operate high-pressure steam cleaners and other cleaning equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required protective gear.
• Read and measure accurately using a tape measure.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Lift and move objects up to 50+ lbs.
• Support the team as a helper when needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Live in or near Yonkers, NY.
• No prior experience necessary — full training provided.
• Strong integrity and willingness to work hard.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
