Facilities Automation Engineer
About the role
As a member of the IT Team at OnLogic, you are responsible for maintaining and enhancing our facilities automation and providing technical support for our core business applications. This role requires an onsite presence at our South Burlington, VT office.
Responsibilities
- Enhancing, troubleshooting, and maintaining our global Facility Automation services and Physical Access Control System (PACS).
- Triage and resolve incoming support requests related to our ERP, CRM, or eCommerce site as needed.
- Develop and run business reports.
- Develop knowledge of the OnLogic products and internal processes.
- Write effective documentation and training support for systems.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field), or comparable job-related experience and training.
- Competency in SQL (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server) including database and query optimization.
- Competency in Python, with a basic understanding of software best practices.
- Experience in Internet of Things protocols like MQTT, Zigbee, and BLE, preferably as they are utilized in a Home Assistant implementation.
- Experience in Facility Automation concepts, such as surveillance, energy savings, A/V, lighting, and climate control.
- Experience with Physical Access Control Systems.
- A basic understanding of CSS/HTML/XML/JSON.

Benefits
The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000. We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles.
