Facilities Associate (PART TIME - Early Mornings)

About the Role

The Facilities Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in a retail branch location. This role supports a positive customer experience and aligns with the operational goals of store teams by performing daily janitorial and building upkeep tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming retail branch environment
• Perform daily janitorial tasks, including sweeping, restroom and breakroom cleaning, and dusting shelves
• Clean and sanitize flat surfaces such as manager counters, phones, and cart handles
• Operate floor scrubbers and maintain floor cleanliness throughout the branch
• Handle outdoor cleanup, including trash removal and seasonal maintenance
• Support a positive customer experience through consistent building upkeep
• Align facility maintenance efforts with the goals of sales, merchandising, and inventory teams
• Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in English (business level)

Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of retail/supply chain business models and a strong work ethic
• Basic customer service skills and ability to work well with coworkers
• Strong verbal communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day
• Requires effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing
• Requires regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs

Work Environment

• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles
• Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes, and gases
• Noise level usually quiet to moderate
• Average and normal passage of employees through the work area
