Facilities Assistant - St. Patrick's Catholic Church - Rockville Maryland

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of parish and school events, ensuring all equipment, furniture, and materials are properly arranged as directed.
• Daily Cleaning and Maintenance: Address cleaning needs that arise in out-of-the-ordinary situations, ensuring the campus remains presentable and safe.
• Material Handling: Haul materials, furniture, and other items across the campus as needed for events, office moves, or maintenance tasks, etc.
• Facility Upkeep: Conduct routine inspections of the campus to identify and address minor maintenance issues. Ensure facilities are in good condition, reporting significant repairs to the Facility Manager.
• Collaborate: Work closely with the Facility Manager to prioritize tasks, schedule maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in facilities management, maintenance, or related roles preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50lbs safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance practices.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible and willing to work evenings or weekends as required for events.
