Established in 1975, Non‑Profit Yakima Neighborhood Health Services (YNHS) serves patients in Behavioral Health, Family Dentistry, Internal Medicine, Women’s Health, Primary Care, Pediatrics, Vision Care and Pharmacy. About the Role

We are looking for a skilled maintenance worker to join our team. The successful candidate must be highly proficient with power tools, hand tools, and grounds‑keeping equipment, and be able to read blueprints and manuals, research, and diagnose equipment and building issues.

Responsibilities

  • Identify cleaning and repair needs of YNHS property and equipment.
  • Maintain a regular schedule of cyclical maintenance activities.
  • Keep maintenance equipment clean and orderly.
  • Ensure all clinic facilities are comfortable, clean, safe, sanitary, and conducive to quality patient care.
  • Serve as a key member of the Environment of Care Committee.
  • Perform repairs, installations, redecorations, improvements, and/or replacement of furniture and fixtures.
  • Respond to building and maintenance emergencies.
  • General upkeep of grounds and buildings.
  • Perform janitorial duties to keep facilities hazard‑free.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, efficient, and confidential work area.
  • Represent YNHS in local meetings as requested.
  • Perform related work and other tasks as requested.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Repair experience with buildings, housing units, machines, equipment, desks, chairs, file cabinets, etc.
  • Experience performing light construction such as repairing door frames, cabinetry, replacing appliances, sheetrock, windows, doors, floors, handles, etc.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance services on clinic buildings, systems, and grounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication with all levels of personnel.
  • Valid driver’s license and car insurance.

Compensation and Benefits
