Facilities Assistant

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound deliveries and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders
• Inspect materials for damage and accuracy
• Perform material receipt transactions in company software systems
• Label and properly store materials in designated warehouse locations
• Cookordination resolution of receiving discrepancies
• Stage materials for prefab and assembly operations
• Maintain material availability for scheduled production activities
• Cookordinate movement of materials between warehouse and fabrication areas
• Support workflow efficiency through organized staging practices
• Prepare completed assemblies for shipment
• Pack materials to prevent damage during transit
• Cookordinate outbound freight scheduling as needed
• Load trucks safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate inventory through timely system updates
• Perform cycle counts as assigned
• Assist with inventory organization and location management
• Support continuous improvement of warehouse processes
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment safely
• Support loading/unloading operations
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Support daily workflow coordination across receiving, staging, and shipping activities
• Communicate material shortages or issues impacting production
• Aid in the organization and housekeeping of warehouse areas
• Aid in the training or mentoring of newer warehouse personnel

Qualifications

• A high school diploma (or equivalent)
• Two years prior warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience
• Forklift experience (certification preferred)
• Experience with inventory or ERP systems preferred
• Ability to read packing slips and purchase orders
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license; CDL may be required for certain positions
