Facilities and Grounds Worker I/II

About the role

Under the direction of the Maintenance Lead, the Facilities and Grounds Worker performs a wide variety of skilled and unskilled routine landscaping, grounds maintenance, semi-skilled manual work, clean-up, preventive maintenance, and repair tasks at buildings and facilities. This role ensures stations are maintained at the highest level of safety and cleanliness, working individually or as part of a crew.

Facilities and Grounds Worker II is the second level in the Facilities and Grounds Worker series. Incumbents are skilled in operating equipment, performing skilled landscaping maintenance and repairs, and executing tasks across varying crafts with efficiency. This role also contributes to the training and skill progression of Facilities and Grounds Worker I.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance functions.
• Conduct semi-skilled manual work, clean-up, and preventive maintenance.
• Repair buildings and facilities to maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
• Operate equipment and perform skilled landscaping maintenance and repairs.
• Execute tasks across various crafts with efficiency.
