About the role
Faces is our premier annual “Faces Of” program—a unique, category-driven magazine + digital spotlight where one business per category earns the title of “The Face of ___” in their market. This role sells category-specific Faces features, manages category inventory across cities, and builds relationships with business owners.
Responsibilities
- Calling business owners by category to invite them to claim a Faces spot
- Running persuasive phone or Zoom presentations using our proven process
- Managing category inventory for multiple markets (sold/open/held leads)
- Updating CRM and inventory systems accurately and quickly
- Following a structured yet flexible sales script and negotiation framework
- Closing new business efficiently and confidently
- Handing off new clients to editorial + production teams
- Identifying opportunities to upsell clients into:
- Custom web design projects
- Digital ad management
- Print + digital media services
Requirements
- Proven B2B or inside sales experience
- Comfortable and confident on the phone
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Organized and able to manage a rapid pipeline
- Clear communication—direct, personable, upbeat
- Comfortable with fast-paced, high-activity environments
Bonus
- Experience in advertising, media sales, or marketing
- Familiarity with local business communities
- One-call-close or category-based sales experience

Pay
- Base salary: $40,000–$50,000
- Commission on all Faces sales
- Profit sharing on market growth + performance
