Fac Tech II

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance procedures and troubleshoot all equipment maintenance problems.
• Assist in other areas of facilities and grounds maintenance as directed.
• Assist with training and orientation of existing and new staff.
• Make recommendations for process improvements and participate in lean initiatives.
• Participate in projects assigned to the department and perform all required preventative and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Troubleshoot problems with facility equipment involving electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC failures.
• Maintain and service equipment and systems such as ice makers, pneumatic tube carriers, HVAC systems, doors/automatic openers, and assist in boiler plant operation.
• Maintain building finishes by performing drywall finishing, painting, staining, repair, and application of wall coverings.

Education

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED. Two-year certificate or degree from a vocational or technical institute is preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Valid state driver’s license is required.

Experience

Four years of previous work experience in maintenance or a related field is required.
