Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of proven refrigeration/HVAC experience with satisfactory performance
  • EPA Type 2 Certification
  • Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals, and schematics
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime

Responsibilities

  • Drive independently to stores daily as assigned
  • Assist with and perform preventive maintenance tasks for buildings and equipment
  • Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment as directed
  • Assist in compressor, large motor, and component replacement
  • Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts
  • Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks, and aerial lifts safely
  • Clean and maintain company service vehicles (if assigned)
  • Communicate with store personnel regarding equipment use to reduce repeat calls and overtime
  • Use the company email system for messaging
  • Complete repair, labor, parts purchasing, and usage documentation in a timely manner
  • Comply with all department and company policies and procedures
  • Assist other skilled trade technicians in repairs as requested

Physical Demands

  • High aptitude for standing, walking, sitting (while driving), lifting/carrying up to 70 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing ladders, bending, squatting, and kneeling
  • Work in varying temperatures inside and outside the store
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
