About the role
Assist with electrical repair and support to assigned service calls. Demonstrates the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Responsibilities
- Based in the Midwest, Roundy's merged with The Kroger Company in 2015. Today, we're proudly serving Roundy's customers in over 140 stores under the retail banners Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market in Wisconsin and Mariano's in Illinois.
- Work based on a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary.
- Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely.
- Communicate with store personnel regarding the proper use of equipment as it relates to repeat calls and overtime.
- Audit registered store equipment identification lists.
- Utilize company email system to send and receive messages.
- Properly complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation in a timely fashion.
- Assist other skilled trade technicians in repairs as requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent Vocational school certification or 1 year proven electrical experience.
- Maintain and update an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Basic understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC).
Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary.
- Previous job experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.
- Basic understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Drive independently on a daily basis to stores as assigned.
- Perform minor electrical component repair and replacement.
- Develop skills to navigate and investigate electronic controls interfaces.
- Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely.
- Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
Skills
