About the role

Responsibilities

• Install drywall, ceramic and vinyl floor tile, cabinets, shelving, doors, windows, cement work, acoustical ceilings, and locks.
• Submit accurate time reporting and vehicle inventory reports by scheduled dates using company computer programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice a year.
• Ensure maintenance expenses for assigned stores comply with annual budgetary guidelines.

Requirements

• Lift at least 25 lbs.
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Handle various assignments and projects with flexibility.
• Prioritize job functions and complete tasks accurately.
• Communicate effectively and have strong PC skills, including familiarity with Windows XP, MS Excel, CPC Ultrasite/Controllers, MS Outlook, and Kroger-specific mainframe applications like Viryanet Service Hub.
• Have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• General carpentry experience, particularly in food retail and commercial facilities.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Personal initiative and attention to detail.

Skills

• Strong PC skills, including Windows XP, MS Excel, and Kroger-specific mainframe applications.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
