Fabricator/ Welder

Job Responsibilities

• Some of the physical demands for this position include the ability to lift 40 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods of time, and occasional bending and stooping.
• Equipment / Tools Used: Mig, Tig and Arc welding machines, Hand tools, Oxy/Acy cutting torch, Air Grinders

Job Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year Associates Degree from accredited technical college is preferred, or equivalent experience
• One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Techical Training: Mig/Tig/Arc Welding
• Other: Welding courses, Computer skills; Basic Microsoft Word and Excel

Additional Skills or Abilities

• Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Small machining skills

Training

• New Hire Orientation
• OSHA Required Training
• Product and Process Overview
• Understanding the Charter
• Machine-specific training
• 5S and TPM

Performance Monitoring

• Performance Assessment conducted by Supervisor and/or Department Manager

Quality Objectives

• The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible to assist and help repair production dies, fabricating tools, jigs and fixtures for the production areas to meet our customer production requirements.
