Fabricator - Second Shift

About the role

As a Fabricator for Yancey Engineered Solutions, you will fabricate metal components and assemblies using specialized equipment, including a plasma table, shear, press brake, and 8" pipe threader. The ideal candidate will have experience in metalworking, a strong understanding of fabrication processes, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of shop equipment, including plasma tables, shears, press brakes, and pipe threaders, to fabricate and assemble metal components.
• Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to meet production requirements.
• Perform precise cuts, bends, and shaping of metal materials as needed for each project.
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain equipment by performing regular cleaning, basic repairs, and troubleshooting as required.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Additional technical training is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in a metal fabrication or similar manufacturing role.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating plasma tables, shears, press brakes, and pipe threaders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
