Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication of small and large channel letters
• Perform quality, accurate, and timely work
• Welding aluminum components and subcomponents
• Operate and use hand tools and power tools to secure parts in place
• Weld aluminum utilizing a MIG welder and spool gun
• Lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the shop area
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or sign fabrication (preferred)
• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Read, write, and speak English
• Welding certification preferred
• Other qualifications as deemed required by the company to be safe for the role

Competencies

• Will be required to stand for the majority of the workday
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and use hands to operate the telephone, type and operate computer and mouse. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and bend and twist neck. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
