Fabricator

Responsibilities

• Inspect each sheet of metal for flaws and use measuring tape to ensure the correct size.
• Move materials as needed to supply fabrication and transfer material to other departments.
• Operate plasma tables, shear, brakes, CNC, and other fabrication equipment.
• Inspect each fabricated sub assembly for correctness prior to transferring it to another department.
• Read and interpret drawings and layout and cut sheet metal per design.
• Wears PPE always when using tools and equipment.

Qualifications/Skills

• Demonstrate the ability to properly handle and modify sheet metal to an acceptable quality level.
• Utilize hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work safely.
• Perform basic math skills and read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch.

Education and Licensing

• High School Diploma or GED.
