About the role

As a Fabrication Technician, you will organize parts and materials to fulfill manufacturing orders using various hand tools and power equipment.
Responsibilities
- Finish parts to specification with hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.), portable grinders, hand routers, band saw, and sanding equipment.
- Sand burrs and sharp machined edges using sanding equipment and hand tools; buff and polish metals to correct existing defects.
- Operate grinding equipment per instructions and the machine manual.
- Read blueprints and job routers for deburring and finishing specifications.
- Maintain all deburring equipment and perform maintenance as necessary.
- Keep the work area clean to reduce and minimize Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
- Conduct 5S procedures every week.
- Educate and direct personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources.
- Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures to ensure quality.
- Accomplish manufacturing needs by communicating job-related issues and working in a team environment.
- Ensure 100% quality of products by monitoring, training, and inspecting products.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues as they arise.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience.
Skills
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation accurately.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse, or retail environment.
- 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management.
