About the role

As a Fabrication Technician, you will organize parts and materials to fulfill manufacturing orders using various hand tools and power equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Finish parts to specification with hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.), portable grinders, hand routers, band saw, and sanding equipment.
  • Sand burrs and sharp machined edges using sanding equipment and hand tools; buff and polish metals to correct existing defects.
  • Operate grinding equipment per instructions and the machine manual.
  • Read blueprints and job routers for deburring and finishing specifications.
  • Maintain all deburring equipment and perform maintenance as necessary.
  • Keep the work area clean to reduce and minimize Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
  • Conduct 5S procedures every week.
  • Educate and direct personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources.
  • Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures to ensure quality.
  • Accomplish manufacturing needs by communicating job-related issues and working in a team environment.
  • Ensure 100% quality of products by monitoring, training, and inspecting products.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience.

Skills

  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation accurately.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse, or retail environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management.
