Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of assembly operations to produce and assemble seating and positioning equipment according to specifications and quality standards using powered equipment and adhesives.
- Read and follow work order specifications via Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) & order hard copies to build and assemble quality parts in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Work from bill of materials, drawings and specifications. Use a variety of measuring instruments.
- Operate band saw, grinder, t-nut machine, drill press, portable power tools and glue gun.
- Locate materials required to assemble products.
- Enter completed product into production entry.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Maintain 5’S Program.
- Assist and Cross train in other departments, as needed, to ensure products are completed on time.
- Maintain Kanban System and participate in cycle counts.
- Recognize and communicate defective parts.
- Maintains quality service by: Meeting/Exceeding all measurements of performance: quality, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior manufacturing experience.
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide and metric conversions).
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to read, write, and understand instruction detail written and communicated in English.
- Familiar with portable power tools such as a drill, band saw, and grinder.
- Good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and supervisor.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to navigate the internet to access company portals preferred.

Pay
The expected pay range for this role is $21.00 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
Schedule
Full-time | Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:00pm
