Fabricator
About the role

As a Fabricator at our Pittsburg, K.S facility, you will interpret blueprints, perform layout work, and set up welding equipment to complete high-quality welds across a variety of materials and configurations.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and collaborate with the lead person to confirm job requirements.
- Gather necessary materials and perform layout work according to specifications.
- Set up welding machines and adjust settings for various applications.
- Weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials in multiple positions and joint configurations.
- Inspect welds for quality, repairing defective joints as needed.
- Operate cutting torches and manual plasma cutters when required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in utilizing cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammers.
- One year of welding experience.
- Prior knowledge of setting up welding machines and adjusting settings.
- Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
- Ability to properly operate welding equipment.
Qualifications
- Team members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.
- Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.
- This position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.
- Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing setting that may not be climate-controlled and can include exposure to varying temperatures.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
- Day Shift: Monday - Thursday 6 am - 430 pm
- Night Shift: Monday - Thursday 8 pm - 630 am
- Weekend (Full Time): Friday - Sunday 6 am - 6 pm
