FABRICATOR

About the role

Responsible for fabricating activities under the direction of the Fabrication Foreman, including but not limited to welding, shearing, bending, burning, and machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabricating activities as required to meet production schedules.
• Perform duties and activities in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate departmental information to the Fabrication Supervisor daily or as needed.
• Maintain equipment, including routine and preventative maintenance.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Keep a neat and organized work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and fabricate according to blueprints.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to follow instructions and direction.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and ability to read measuring equipment (tape measure, square, etc.).
• Ability to perform all essential functions of the job.

Qualifications

• Welding degree preferred, but not required.
• Experience in stick, flux‑core, short‑arc, carbon‑arc gouging, TIG welding, and soldering is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Extensive walking, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, and climbing as required.
