Fabricator

About the Role

As a Fabricator at Distribution International, you will operate a band saw and other types of saws to custom fabricate fiberglass, mineral wool, perlite, and many other types of specialized insulation. This is a safety-sensitive position in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, safety, and efficiency are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate appropriate equipment.
• Accurately measure material for efficiency.
• Maintain quality and housekeeping.
• Ensure production levels are met daily.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Perform other fabrication duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license if operating a vehicle for company purposes.
• Experience and/or training in a manufacturing/fabrication/warehouse environment (preferred).
• Able to be medically certified to wear a respirator (if required).
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Good hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity.
• Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds, depending on specific job duties.

Travel Requirements

Local travel required, less than 10%.

Pay

Compensation range: $13.00 - $30.00 per hour. Actual offers depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, and market data. This position may also offer variable compensation.
