Fabricator

About the role

The company is currently seeking a 2nd shift Fabricator in Boyne City, MI. The starting salary is $22.73/hr.

Responsibilities

• Assemble company products or parts using fabrication techniques, tools, and equipment
• Fit, adjust, calibrate and align to ensure free action and movement of parts, tolerance fits, and operating requirements
• Set up and run Press Brake
• Work from assembly drawings and specifications
• Set up press brake to comply with forming requirements of drawing
• Troubleshoot and correct problems as required
• Use precision measuring instruments, testing devices, and equipment to check parts, units, fits, and operating requirements
• Count, weigh, transport, and pile materials
• Perform material handling work directly related to production operations
• Recognize obvious defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship and general quality
• Maintain acceptable performance and quality standards
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills in dealing with management and fellow employees
• Perform other work-related duties as required
• Participate in the company quality process

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CNC experience or equivalent preferred
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to read assembly drawings
• Previous shop experience with knowledge of manufacturing flow
• Ability to work under pressure
• Self-starter with ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to prioritize work
• Good problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to read and write
