About the role

Barnhart is a company that creates custom equipment for complex lifting and transport projects. As a Fabricator, you'll be involved in building solutions that support heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication tasks including welding, cutting, fitting, and forming materials
• Create custom equipment and components to support company projects
• Operate shop equipment such as laser tables, forklifts, brake press, and saws
• Read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication plans
• Prepare and assemble materials for accurate fit-up and final welding
• Use software systems and shop tools to track and execute work orders

Requirements

• Background in fabrication, welding, or industrial shop work
• Ability to read and work from drawings and fabrication plans
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Willingness to work safely and collaborate with a team

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of industrial fabrication experience preferred
• Experience with welding processes (SMAW, FCAW) or similar preferred
• Familiarity with fabrication-related software or shop systems preferred
