Fabricator

Responsibilities

• Fabricate equipment accurately and with proper procedures in a timely manner.
• Show strong attention to detail and accuracy in fabrication process.
• Knowledge of all types of hand tools, fabricating equipment, measuring devices.
• Work on stainless steel fabrication, including cutting tube, operating hand grinders, polishing, bending, assembly, electro-polishing, frame installation, and maintenance of utility/service lines.
• Operate overhead crane and/or forklift.
• Inspect and maintain proper and safe operation of all shop equipment.
• Conduct operations in a safe manner.
• Play an active role in identifying and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Work Experience: Two (2) years previous fabrication experience preferred.
• Other Requirements: Must be able to perform simple math equations, read a tape measure, solve problems, communicate effectively, use hand tools and basic fabrication tools, maintain a clean and safe working environment, stand for long periods, and lift heavy objects.
• Self-motivated.
• Proficient in reading blueprints.
• Necessary to maintain awareness of and experience with implementing Continuous Improvement (CI).
• Prior Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus.
