Fabricator 3

Baer Manufacturing is seeking detail‑oriented and experienced Fabricators to join the growing team. Fabricators are responsible for assembling and fabricating metal structures and equipment using welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong understanding of welding techniques, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to determine specifications and calculate component dimensions.
• Operate manual or semi‑automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using MIG, TIG, and arc welding units.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and 5S exercises to continuously improve processes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fabricator or welder (Level 1‑5 depending on experience and weld test).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Understanding of safety standards and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Team‑oriented mindset and good communication skills.

Pay

Union Assembler Pay Scale: $23.36 to $46.72 per hour, based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
