Fabricator - 2nd Shift

About the role

This position is located in Prior Lake, Minnesota and reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor, collaborating primarily with Welding and Assembly teams. The Fabricator is responsible for producing components to meet internal and customer requirements.

Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:30am with overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques and methods such as shearing, rolling, sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming metals.
• Prepare sheet metal for welding per specifications.
• Maintain standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance.
• Interpret blueprints and written part requirements.
• Perform process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed.
• Read parts list and determine if all parts are present.
• Interpret measurements and verify specifications.
• Cut and shape metals to prepare for welders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• 1+ year(s) experience in a metal shop manufacturing environment.
• Proven decision-making and analytical skills.
• Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes.
• Ability to work independently and complete duties with little direct supervision.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce high-quality products in a timely manner.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.
• Knowledge of safe workplace practices.
