Key Responsibilities
- Performing TIG, MIG, TIP TIG, and laser welding
- Interpreting drawings, work orders, and welding procedures
- Fabricating, cutting, straightening, and welding metals
- Maintaining traceability through weld mapping and documentation
- Using precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances
- Identifying process improvements and documenting work
- Adhering to safety protocols in a potentially hazardous environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of welding experience or equivalent certification
- Proficiency in TIG (GTAW) and MIG welding
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Experience with stainless steel and aluminum preferred
- Knowledge of Welding Procedure Specifications and record-keeping
- Able to work extended hours if needed
Skills & Environment
- Strong attention to detail and technical skills
- Ability to work in a loud, high-temperature environment with protective gear
- Comfort with working at heights and in outdoor conditions
