About the Role

NOX Innovations, part of the Nox Group, is hiring a Fabrication Worker to support the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of basic hand and power tools, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work under supervision in all aspects of fabrication. This role involves material handling, assembly of prefabricated systems, and other general labor tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Fabrication & Assembly: Operate machinery (drilling/deburring hand tools, welders, cutters, grinders, hydraulic CNC equipment) to fabricate parts and assemble components according to specifications.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and procedures.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment; adhere to safety protocols.
  • Material Handling: Prepare and organize materials, including cutting and shaping metals, plastics, and composites.
  • Collaboration: Work with team members to ensure timely production and resolve issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain records of work orders, production schedules, and inventory usage.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot fabrication processes, machinery, or material issues.
  • Perform jobsite housekeeping and general labor tasks.
  • Complete other prefab-related duties as instructed by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and instructional manuals.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations.
  • Proficiency with fabrication tools and machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Physical capabilities: bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.

Experience

  • Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or mechanical environments preferred.
  • Experience with welding, cutting, or machine operation is a plus.

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in fabrication or welding advantageous.

Safety Requirements

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring adherence to all applicable policies, including drug testing and background checks. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, repeated pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching, walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing. May operate vehicles or machinery.
