Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to be able to perform the job duties listed below.TRAINING FOR THIS SHIFT MAY BE ON A DIFFERENT SHIFT FOR UP TO ONE MONTH
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
- Fabricates doors and frames for vinyl extrusions using hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, saws, vertical welders, corner cleaners, double miter saws, etc., as well as milling machines.
- Identifies and tags material with a written symbol for assembly and inspection.
- Comprehends and completes fabrication on a sequence of operations.
- Fit and assemble components.
- Performs all general production work as required.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred in a fabrication or production environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Good math skills
- Be vigilant about safety
- Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, reach and lift during the shift
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
- Must work effectively in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment(PPE)and comply with safety policies
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. An individual is required to wear appropriate safety protective equipment at the proper times and in the proper environments as required by safety program rules. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, an individual is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
