Fabrication Tech

About the Role

Volt is immediately hiring Fabrication Techs on the west side of El Paso, TX. As a Fabrication Technician, you will form, cut, and pierce metals to create fabricated assembly units. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Forms, cuts, and pierces metals to form fabricated assembly units
• Uses a wide variety of hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment
• Operates fabrication machinery using digital-electronic controls
• Operates spray painting equipment and moderately complex welding equipment

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• 1st shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM + mandatory OT
• 2nd shift: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM + mandatory OT

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-3 years of previous Fabrication experience
• Experience reading prints and schematics
• Ability to work independently
• Expertise with basic hand tools, air tools, gages, and torque wrenches
• Good hand-eye coordination and excellent natural or corrected vision
• Ability to work Overtime is required

Qualifications

• Understanding of electrical principles and UL Requirements is highly desired
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Pay

$15.00 to $16.25 per hour, depending on shift. Pay range is based on factors such as education, experience, location, and specific job duties.
