Responsibilities
- Safely lift and carry parts to your workstation, operate a hoist when necessary
- Use a mallet, hammer, or chisel to free parts from the sheet metal
- Inspect metal parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized deburring equipment to smooth edges and surfaces
- Ensure all parts meet quality control specifications and tolerances
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or technical drawings
- Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including taking cardboard to the assigned disposal area
- Assign tasks and communicate clear instructions to team members
- Train team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Help define and set goals for the team and monitor progress towards achieving company KPI goals
- Create and administer performance reviews to team members
- Create an inspiring and motivating environment for the team
- Organize work and ensure efficient workflow utilizing 5S principles
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Ability to work with small tools and handle precision work
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Great work ethic and attendance
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability
