Fabrication Specialist

About the role

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Fabrication Specialists to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are hiring for a broad range of experience levels, including Entry-Level and Associate Fabrication Specialists. This position is 100% onsite, and the selected candidate will work at one of our listed locations.

Responsibilities

• Performs machine set-up, machining, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks
• Performs composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks
• Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components
• Assembles, repairs, modifies, and installs various power plants and drive trains
• Performs soldering on electronic and avionics products
• Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products
• Prepares test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests
• Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation
• Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements
• Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements

Requirements

• 3+ months of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing
• Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting

Qualifications (Preferred)

• 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools)
• Experience managing or working with safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data

Pay

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

• Entry-Level (Level A): $48,000 - $49,000
• Associate (Level B): $54,000 - $64,000
