About the role

An Automation Setup sets up, maintains, and repairs complex equipment used in the manufacturing of a variety of assemblies. This position operates efficiently and safely with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Reads and understands blueprints, visualizes small metal parts in three dimensions
• Performs machine set-up and adjustment
• Performs Statistical Process Control (SPC) to meet production requirements
• Stocks and restocks tools and materials
• Maintains a clean area according to 5S requirements
• Tracks hourly production counts, troubleshoots and problem-solves operational problems, and seeks proper support in major instances
• Utilizes SPC to monitor and adjust machinery as needed
• Maintains part quality requirements

Qualifications

• GED or High School diploma required
• Previous work experience preferred, but not required
• Must pass a skills assessment test on reading and writing comprehension, math skills, and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to use measuring instruments
• Ability to work safely, use good judgment, and work well around others
• Ability to use standard mechanics tools
• Ability to read, write, and count to keep track of inventory
• Ability to communicate, including verbal and written English
• Ability to enter data into a computer
• Constant standing and walking
• Occasional sitting, occasional full forward reach, occasional unilateral or bilateral forceful hand grasp, occasional wrist flexion, supination and pronation, occasional push/pull force, occasional forward flexion of the back, rare full forward flexion of the back, rare step up on to one-step platform or two-step stepladder

Benefits

• Pay Rate: $27.55 and increases to $29.75 after 1000 working hours
