Position Overview
The Fabrication Process Engineer II plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of manufacturing processes at Hunter Douglas. This position is pivotal in driving operational excellence by developing and maintaining standard work procedures, optimizing processes, and ensuring productive capacity aligns with delivery schedules. The Fabrication Process Engineer II leads multidisciplinary teams, implements effective countermeasures, and supports flawless process launches to achieve organizational goals.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in process engineering
- At least 1 year of experience in the manufacturing industry
- Project management experience is desirable
- Participated in a Continuous Improvement event
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills across all levels
- Effective planning and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
- Results-oriented with high attention to detail
- Must be comfortable working from the office for 5 days a week
- Willingness to travel (10%+)
- Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting of fabric rolls weighing 50 pounds or more
- Ability to climb a stair ladder to a height of 10 feet occasionally
