Canepa is seeking an experienced professional for our fabrication department and machine shop. The ideal candidate works with limited supervision using various machines, hand tools, and welders to fabricate automotive parts.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabrication, machine work, and problem solving for restoration and racing vehicles
• Create estimates for fabrication jobs and order materials to complete the job
• Determine materials and processes that were used to produce the original parts
• Design and fabricate special tools to fit unique jobs
• Machine parts requiring threads, tapers, or tight tolerances
• Machine parts requiring jig bores or precise bolt patterns
• Document and file drawings for parts being produced

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of fabrication, machining, and welding experience
• Automotive experience in high-performance and racing cars
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Motivated, fast-paced personality with a serious work ethic
• Computer skills preferred
