Role Overview
The Fabrication Associate is responsible for creating finished products based on drawings and material cut lists provided by the Manufacturing Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Tacks material together and checks that layout is correct based on drawing and then finish welds material to create finished product.
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches and to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form.
- Able to read a tape measure and gauges, type of materials according to specifications.
- Perform high mathematic shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents and fractions to decimal equivalents.
- Lay out, measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials.
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines and knowledge of air/hand tools.
- Inspects parts for accuracy and produces quality products consistently.
- Additional project as assigned by supervisor.
- Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- GED - High School Diploma.
- Technical knowledge of machinery, tools, gauging and fabrication.
- One year of fabrication experience.
- Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to solve problems.
- Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
- Proven experience with quality control analysis.
- Basic knowledge of math and geometry.
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
