Role Overview

The Fabrication Associate is responsible for creating finished products based on drawings and material cut lists provided by the Manufacturing Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Tacks material together and checks that layout is correct based on drawing and then finish welds material to create finished product.
  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches and to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form.
  • Able to read a tape measure and gauges, type of materials according to specifications.
  • Perform high mathematic shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents and fractions to decimal equivalents.
  • Lay out, measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials.
  • Sets up and operates fabricating machines and knowledge of air/hand tools.
  • Inspects parts for accuracy and produces quality products consistently.
  • Additional project as assigned by supervisor.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • GED - High School Diploma.
  • Technical knowledge of machinery, tools, gauging and fabrication.
  • One year of fabrication experience.
  • Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
  • Proven experience with quality control analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of math and geometry.
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
